Eaton fire

Containment: The fire was 99% contained as of Monday, Jan 27, evening. It has burned more than 14,000 acres.
�ٲ��:��Officials have tallied 9,418 structures destroyed and 1,073 damaged.
Lives lost: Officials have confirmed 17 are dead from the Eaton fire.
Evacuations: All evacuations have been lifted.

Hughes fire

��ǲԳٲ��Գ��Գ�:��The fire was 98% contained as of Monday, Jan 27, evening. It has burned about 10,400 acres.
Evacuations: All evacuations have been lifted.

Palisades fire

��ǲԳٲ��Գ��Գ�:��The fire was 96% contained as of Wednesday, Jan 29, morning. It has burned more than 23,400 acres.
Damage: Officials have confirmed, so far, 6,837 structures have been destroyed and 1,017 damaged.
Lives lost: Officials have confirmed that 12 people are dead from the Palisades fire.
Evacuations: All remaining evacuation orders were lifted at noon Monday, Jan 27, with most zones converted to residents-only access. Residents were told to pick up an entry pass at Lot 3 at 1150 Pacific Coast Highway between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

Price Gouging Prevention Update – Stay Vigilant

Amid the heroism displayed during the ongoing fires in the LA area, we are also witnessing unethical and illegal activities. It’s important to stay vigilant. Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo and other local leaders are working to protect consumers from price gouging during this emergency.

What You Should Know:
California law prohibits price increases of more than 10% during declared emergencies. Violators can face fines up to $10,000, one year in jail, or both.

Making You Whole Again.

�ճ�� has teams ready to assist evacuees and people impacted by wildfires. Residents under mandatory evacuation because of wildfire could be eligible for evacuation-related expense reimbursements under their current insurance policy. Additional Living Expenses coverage typically includes food and housing costs, furniture rental, relocation and storage, and extra transportation expenses, among other costs. Emergency Housing

Airbnb is partnering with 211LA to identify residents needing temporary housing and helping connect them to Airbnb stays. These efforts are specifically focused on residents who have either lost their homes or have been forced to evacuate due to the fires. You can request assistance for temporary housing by visiting Airbnb.org or contacting 211 LA by dialing 2-1-1 or visiting .

Food

Transportation

Metro is still operating despite the fire and wind conditions. To better serve residents in need of travel, fares have been free since Wednesday. However, there are some closures and service changes. to learn more and see if fares continue to be free tomorrow.
Uber: Residents in Los Angeles County who’ve been ordered to vacate their homes can get a credit from Uber to get to an evacuation site. The $40 will only be valid for trips to an active shelter and by using the code WILDFIRE25.
Lyft: Lyft announced it will be offering $25 vouchers, valid for two trips, to 2,000 customers from now until midnight on Jan. 15. Use the code CAFIRERELIEF25 to get the promotion.
In addition, a number of roads, including several major highways, remain closed. Check the Twitter page for the latest updates on freeway closures. NBC 4 also is frequently updating , which includes some smaller roads.

Air Quality and Smoke

The smoke from the fires is impacting many people who are in no immediate danger from the fires. The most important piece of advice is to stay inside with windows and doors closed as much as you can in order to avoid exposure to irritants and toxic chemicals in the air.
